  1. What did you do this past week?
This past week was really busy for me since I had multiple projects and exams in my classes. I also had some practices for RDC. I had my last few visits to the doctor's office and they finally removed the tape from my leg.
On Thursday, I flew out to San Francisco for a company visit. It was a nice break from school and I got the chance to tour the city for a bit and eat food in Chinatown. In my free time, I played a spikeball with some friends and attended a kickback. I also played intramural soccer over the weekend.
  2. What’s in your way?
There’s not too much in my way, but I definitely need to catch up in my classes since I’ve missed a lot of class while traveling and studying for exams.
  3. What will you do next week?
Next week I’ll be working on my projects and making sure that I don’t get behind on classes. I plan to attend my classes and RDC practices. I’ll probably play intramural playoff games as well depending on when they get scheduled.
  4. What was your experience of the IDB2 project? (this question will vary, week to week)
Working on the IDB2 project wasn’t too bad. Our group already had the website set up mostly dynamically so we didn’t have to change too much when adding in the calls to the database. I worked with another group member on the frontend. We started working on Saturday before the project was due. My other group member finished most of the frontend and I worked on adding links and routing between the pages. Most of our team was extremely busy the past week with exams so we didn’t get many days to work. However, we were able to finish everything except some of the testing requirements. My group worked well together overall, but we definitely plan to start earlier for the next project.
  5. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
I use React Router for routing. It’s an easy to use frontend router that makes it easier to navigate and link pages.
