- What did you do this past week?
This past week I had a project due in my symbolic programming class so I spent some time Monday and Tuesday finishing up my project. I haven’t been attending classes very much because of projects and some other things going on in my life. I did get to attend dance practice for RDC and go to the gym a few times last week. I also went to a free workshop held by the Space, a dance organization in Austin. Over the weekend I met up with some friends and went back home to Round Rock to be with my family. - What’s in your way?
My sleep schedule has been pretty bad lately and I’ve been going to be around 5am which makes it pretty hard to attend classes in the morning. For some reason around this time in the winter I find it difficult to wake up early and attend classes. I’ve fallen behind in several of my classes and I will need to spend extra time studying to catch up. - What will you do next week?
This week I’ll spend some time catching up with the material that I’ve missed in classes. I also have two projects due. I’ll need to spend some time building out the frontend for our software engineering project and adding the searching, sorting, and filtering. I’ll also need to spend time working on my symbolic programming project due this Thursday.
I have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to finish my work for this week because Thursday I’ll be flying out to New York for a company visit. From Thursday until Sunday morning I’ll be in New York.
I also have intramural playoff games for my soccer teams this week. - What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)
I did not get the chance to attend class this week so I don’t have an opinion. However, I don’t know much about SQL so I definitely need to catch up. Luckily I have a few friends in this class so I can look over their notes. - What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
My tip of the week is to familiarize yourself with all the components in your frontend framework (Bootstrap/MaterialUI). There’s a lot of useful components such as expanders and grids that make frontend development more responsive and less of a hassle.
